We regret that at the present time our rented clubroom lack toilets for the disabled.
There is a step free access to the main club room and we warmly welcome potential members from all walks of life.
If you have any particular restrictions or requirements, do email us to see if we can offer an appropriate environment.
The main aim of our club is to bring people together of all ages and abilities, who have a common interest in modelling railways of various scales and gauges.
Anyone with an interest in practical model making is welcome. We cater for all, from those just starting up to more advanced modellers, so plenty of help and encouragement is available.
What we currently model is shown on the various layout pages, although many of our members also have personal interests outside of these particular layouts.
An advantage of being a club member is that you can encounter and benefit from the skills and accumulated breadth of knowledge of the members. It’s not all work though; social events such as Christmas Lunch and summer visits are also part of Club life.
We meet at Kerswell Hall on a Friday night from 7.30 pm and one Saturday work day each month, typically from 9.30 am to 4 pm.
Membership is currently £72 p.a. with significantly reduced rates for students and those unable to regularly attend. Members joining part way through a club year pay a pro-rata rate.
Saturday work days are organised on a pay-per-visit basis (£5 max), but this is the only additional charge over the annual subscription for regular club meetings.
Membership applications go for approval by the committee, but we suggest that you visit the club for a few weeks to see if the atmosphere and general conviviality suits you; a kind of try before you buy!
If you are interested in becoming a member, or just finding out more about us, please contact the Honorary Secretary and he will arrange a convenient time for someone with similar interests to show you around.
